Many sources support the statement that companies that continue to rely on outdated client hardware run the risk of being excluded from the efficient use of modern AI solutions and thus jeopardizing their competitiveness.

Even though many users are unaware that they are likely already using AI in their daily work and benefiting from it, Windows 11, in conjunction with Copilot+, takes the user productivity and experience to a whole new level.

Here are some typical business applications that use AI, although most people are unaware of this:

  1. Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint):
    • Microsoft Word: Uses AI for functions such as spell and grammar checking, wording suggestions and text comprehension.
    • Excel: Uses AI to analyze data, recognize patterns and make predictions. For example, Excel offers “Insights”, which is based on AI algorithms to automatically analyze data and create summaries.
    • PowerPoint: Integrates AI to provide design suggestions and automatic layouts based on slide content.
  2. Microsoft Outlook:
    • Outlook uses AI for email organization, for example, by prioritizing important emails and making suggestions for replying to emails. The “Focused Inbox” feature uses AI to differentiate between important and less important messages.
  3. Salesforce:
    • Salesforce Einstein: An AI platform that is integrated into the Salesforce application and supports sales, marketing and customer service teams. It offers features such as sales opportunity predictions, marketing campaign personalization and automated service requests.
  4. SAP:
    • SAP Leonardo: This platform integrates AI and machine learning to improve business processes such as inventory management, production optimization and financial forecasting. SAP uses AI in supply chain management, financial reporting and human resources.
  5. CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot, Zoho):
    • Many CRM systems use AI for lead scoring and customer interaction. AI helps to identify patterns in customer behaviour and provide personalized recommendations that support the sales team in approaching customers.
  6. Microsoft Teams:
    • Microsoft Teams uses AI for features such as speech-to-text transcripts of meetings and real-time translations. AI also helps organize meetings by automatically making suggestions for scheduling and staff selection for meetings.
  7. Zoom and similar video conferencing tools:
    • These tools use AI for speech recognition, background noise suppression and automatic transcription of meetings so users can focus on the content.
  8. DocuSign:
    • The electronic signature platform uses AI to optimize the automation of contract processes and ensure that documents are completed correctly and quickly.
  9. Antivirus and security software (e.g. Windows Defender, McAfee, Norton):
    • These programs use AI to detect threatening activity, prevent pattern-based attacks and ensure real-time security.
  10. Business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau):
    • These tools use AI to analyze data, provide pattern-based insights and create automated dashboards. Power BI uses AI to automatically generate reports and recognize data patterns.
  11. HR software (e.g. Workday, BambooHR):
    • These programs use AI for applicant selection, performance evaluation and employee retention. They analyze data to identify the best talent and make predictions about which employees may leave the company.

Many of these applications use AI to simplify and speed up processes and help users make decisions, often without being immediately obvious. The integration of AI into such tools is widespread these days, but the actual use of AI often happens in the background and most users are not immediately aware of it.
